How We Help
FRC Support During Divorce
Divorce creates anxiety for everyone, but especially children because often they mistakenly feel responsible for tension between parents or possibly the reason for the divorce. The services of FRC can help when:
- Families are in the process of custody litigation
- Children experience conflict between parents during visitation times
- A comfortable, neutral setting for visits or exchanges with families is needed
- A former spouse/partner uses children as a method of control
Breaking the Cycle of Child Maltreatment
Child Maltreatment is primarily a learned behavior. The cycle of child maltreatment—that is, physical and/or emotional abuse and/or neglect—can be reduced when parents receive the skills they need to be better parents through our supportive visitation program. FRC can help children in these situations when:
- They have witnessed domestic violence or been the victims of abuse
- Their parent(s) needs to attend court-ordered classes regarding inappropriate behavior
- They are currently in foster care and separated from their parents
Helping Families Through Chemical Dependency
Chemical Dependency is devastating to the entire family. The services of FRC can help children and the entire family cope and heal when:
- Children have been exposed to drugs or alcohol during visitation
- Children have been exposed to illegal drug use in the home
- Children or other family members have witnessed inappropriate behavior due to excessive alcohol consumption
Our Mission
At Family Resource Connection (FRC), our mission is to advocate for the safety of maltreated, neglected children by providing family services that protect their interests and future emotional, physical and psychological well-being.

About Us
Family Resource Connection (FRC) is a non-profit organization that answers the complex needs of children suffering from maltreatment and being separated from their families due to chemical dependency, abuse, neglect and divorce.
We believe that every child has the right to spend quality time with their parents without being placed in the middle of conflict. We work with the Courts and act as a neutral third party to ease the anxiety that children go through when separated from their parents.
Open since 2008, the dedicated staff at FRC strives to keep children safe by preserving the family through a variety of services, such as visitation and parent mentoring classes.
Our programs help:
- Create connections between family members that provide children with the love and support they need to grow up and become productive, healthy, and happy adults
- Educate children and parents on how to communicate in non-violent ways
- Preserve family relationships when possible, regardless of living arrangements
